Pet Or Accessory?

It looks to me like a lot of celebrity's are using dogs and puppy's as accessories! Is this cool or cruel, whatever you think please put it in a comment box below. Do you think those celebs that put dogs in their purses think about how the dogs feel? I am a bit of a fashion freak myself but I would never dream of putting a dog in my purse!
